Overall Description:
A woman who might be better described as handsome rather than pretty, there is a beauty to Korra which transcends the gender boundary. Something which is rather fitting given her nature. She has a long nose, full lips and a strong jaw.
Korra's colouring is pale. Her skin is light and clear and she must be careful during the summer months to ensure that she does not burn from the sun. Her skin is not unmarked and she has a few notable scars. The most obvious would be the one which curves over the line of her right hip, legacy of a terrified hatchling.
While many blond haired children will go darker with age, Korra has retained the pale white-blond colouring, though her eyebrows have darkened, something which is common in true blonds. She wears it long enough to hang just past the line of her shoulders. Typically Korra keeps her hair pulled back into a braid but she can, and does, play with it and put it up fancy for special occasions.
Personality

- Children
- Animals

- Most adults
Strengths:
- Mental resilience
- Extremely loyal to the weyr
Weaknesses:
- Doesn't let people in easily
Overall Description:
Korra is a woman who has found her place within the weyr and who is content with it. One of those rare people who finds their niche relatively early in life, after spending all her childhood searching for a place where she might fit, Korra found it the moment she was taken to the weyr. In the weyr she was free to be herself and she will do anything to protect the place and people who accepted her the way she is.
Given the prejudice Korra encountered in her youth, it should not be surprising that, even now, she has trouble letting other people get physically close to her. She makes no attempt to hide the truth of her physical gender, but neither does she trumpet her more masculine side to the world. Though she will politely correct those who use the wrong pronouns for her, Korra prefers to avoid conflicts with others when the subject is her own body. She knows that even in the weyr she can be controversial and she does not find it easy to consciously let down her defences and knowingly allow another to grow physically and emotionally close to her.
Though she does have ambitions, Korra's desires do not lay in the realm of rank. She is content to be a wingrider and a search rider, though she thinks she might one day like to become a candidate master and assists the current holder of the position when she has time. Korra's ambitions lay in her desire to someday have a mate and family, and in working towards a journeymanship in the woodcraft she has learned since coming to the weyr.
History

Father: Jinvik

Korvik - Brother, 1 turn younger, Cotholder
Annajin - Sister, 2 turns younger, Candidate, Sabishi Weyr
Children:
Background:
Age 0 - 5
The eldest child of a pair of cot-holders, Korrajin always felt that something wasn't quite right but never had the words to express what it was that bothered him. when his siblings were born, he was always closer to his sister, Annajin, then his brother, Korvik. He liked playing with his sister, preferring games of house to rough and tumble. And if his games of house involved him taking care of the baby dolls as much as his sister did, well, no-one was willing to tell his father that the boy was a bit odd.
Age 5 - 10
In a cot holding, teaching can be somewhat haphazard at best. It was more important to learn to feed the chickens and tend the gardens which provided their greens than it was to learn numbers and figuring. Despite his environment being less than conductive to that kind of learning, Korrajin did get some education, absorbing everything he could when the journeyman harper's rounds from the main holding brought them to the cot-hold.
Age 10 - 14
Korrajin finally starts to find the words to describe what is wrong with him and the courage to say it aloud, though never to his parents. He is not a boy, at least, not inside, for on the outside he is very definitely male. In the privacy of his own mind he starts to think of himself as a herself, though he never speaks aloud of it. The stirring of the beginnings of sexual attractions adds another layer of confusion, for Korrajin's attractions lay towards other women.
It is, to say the least, a confusing time. Korrajin's father was not an unkind man but he was quite hide-bond in his views and considered anyone who didn't fit into his narrow definition of the gender-binary to be unnatural. It leaves Korrajin troubles, for in order to be a good woman, she would have to like men, yet it is women who leave her breathless and wanting. While it would be acceptable to like women if she was a man, but now that she had worked out what she is, she finds it impossible to think of herself as anything else.
She speaks of her confusions and feelings only to Annajin, who is the one person she feels she can trust with this. Anna's response is to quietly teach Korrajin about feminine things like makeup and dresses, sneaking about in the middle of the night.
Age 14 - 16
Shortly after her fourteenth birthing day, Korrajin is kidnapped. Not by raiders or someone out to demand money or supplies from her family, but by a people for whom she was the supply. None of her family know where she has gone, or that she agreed to go. For in the middle of one night, hearing the sudden quiet of frightened animals, Korrajin leaves the holding to investigate, and discovered a massive winged creature in the yard. It's deep purple hide was difficult to see in the darkness of the night, even with the moons both full, but Korrajin knew that shape to be the shape of a dragon, for she recalled her teaching songs well, even if she had never had a chance to see a dragon in person.
The Murasaki pounced on her the moment she was outside, her sounds shushed by her rider. The woman spoke, explaining that she was seeking candidates and that Junrath thought Korrajin was a good fit. It was an announcement which stunned Korra and before she could quite understand what was happening, she found herself agreeing to go with the rider to Sabishi weyr.
In the weyr, she is encouraged to learn in a way which she never was in the cot-holding and she finds herself turning an idle enjoyment of whittling into an apprenticeship as a wood-smith with a focus on carving.
Korra, as she now called herself, would stand for two turns before her time came. Knocked over by a young Kohaku, left with a long wound over her hip, Korra misses the hatching of the deep red and bright gold dragon who many stare at, but the dragon does not miss her. Her name is Auraveth and she seeks out Korra in the triage, announcing the girl to be hers.
Age 17 - 18
Like her rider, Auraveth is not entirely as she appears. She makes her first flight at the age of two, and then her first chase not long after. For Auraveth is not strictly male or female, but is in many ways both, though she thinks of herself as a female.
Age 18 - 20
Korrajin settles into life as a wingrider with relative ease. Auraveth shows a distinct sensitivity to candidate potential and they soon become regulars on the search sweeps. Neither are particularly ambitious, being content to simply be where they are rather than striving for the stressful tasks of a wingsecond.
