Overall Description:
Rhiasyn is generally considered to be a rather pretty person. Zhe has a very feminine figure, lithely muscled from work and riding, with Rhia's weight focused at the hips and chest, giving zher an hourglass type figure.

Zher hair is rather impressive to look at, being a mass of ginger curls. They hang down to just past zher shoulders. Zhe does zher best to keep it looking neat, but it can seem at times to almost have a life of it's own and Rhia often struggles to make it do what zhe wants it too. Zhe tends to keep it loose, pulled back only with a simple headband.

Like many red heads, Rhiasyn's skin is fairly pale in it's natural state. Zhe has a smattering of freckles over zher cheeks and nose from time spent outdoors. Zhe has few scars, the most noticeable being a long scar down zher shoulder, from near the join of zher shoulder and arm, angling down to touch near zher spine between the small of zher back and the bottom of zher shoulder blades.

Rhia dresses nicely, as befits the scion of a noble family, the direct descendant of a major bloodline. Zhe prefers clothes that flatter zher figure, pants fitted to zher shape and blouses which flow nicely. Zhe does like skirts and dresses, but find they too often get in the way of day to day life and thus will wear them only during those times when zhe is not expecting to be doing much in the way of physical things, or during events such as gathers and feasts.

Overall Description:
With a curved figure, pretty green eyes and curled red hair, there is no mistaking Rhiasyn's physical form as anything other than female. Just don't make the mistake of calling zher that. Even when zhe is acting in a manner which most would consider stereotypically feminine, zhe is not and never will be female. For the most part Rhia ignores the manners of the great unwashed masses and does not bother to correct them them when they use the pronouns to refer to zher, but when it comes to friends and family zhe is very firm when it comes to what zhe wishes to be called.

Rhia is afraid of the dark. Zhe doesn't know why, having no memory of anything which would logically explain such a fear, but zhe remains scared of it all the same. Oddly enough, zhe is not scared of between. Zhe theorizes it is because between is blank nothingness, not a deep darkness which could hide all manner of terrifying and/or dangerous things. Zhe sleeps with a glow-basket by zher bed, only feeling comfortable enough to relax and sleep when zhe has at least some light to reassure zherself that the rest of the world is still there.

Though zhe is more than competent in formal situations, Rhiasyn isn't so good at casual interactions with others. As a blooded Lady, Rhia has spent little time with others simply relaxing and chatting and having fun and because zhe has not had much exposure to such situations, zhe is not particularly comfortable with them.

However, once zhe makes a friend, you have zher for life. Rhiasyn is extremely loyal to those zhe considers to be zhers and will do just about anything for zher people.

Background:
Age 0 - 5
Rhiasyn is the second child of Lord Syrenoi of Benden Hold, the first and only child of his second wife. Rhiasyn's older sibling is a brother by the name of Syrian. Syrian is significantly older than Rhia and has little interest in the child. Like most children of the major bloodlines, Rhiasyn is raised mainly by a dedicated nurse, though Rhianna, being from a minor bloodline which did not have such resources, does take a close interest in the care and raising of her child as would have been expected of her in birth holding.

Age 5 - 12
Rhiasyn's teaching turns are intense. Zhe was taught the beginnings of hold management, given lessons in self defense and riding,and taught a myriad of other skills thought needed for the heir to a major hold in addition to the usual range of skills and knowledge taught to every child within the holding, for zher parents were big on the right of every child within their reach to know something of counting and numbers and writing. There was a pair of harper journeymen within the holding, working under the assigned master, who traded off on traveling duty to check up on the cot holdings and provide some education for the ordinary holders.

When zhe is six, zher brother is officially engaged to the eldest daughter of the Lord of Nerat Hold. Unofficially, the two have been promised since Syrian's birth sixteen turns previous. His betrothed is only fourteen at the time, the first surviving female child born to the Lady of Nerat.

It is in zher tenth turn that Rhiasyn is gifted with a very special creature. A golden cheetah type Mrreow kit is presented to her by the Lord of Nerat Hold as a birthing day gift. Rhia names the little female, Esme. A cub from the same litter is also given to Korlinna, sign of her father's favor upon her soon to be marriage to Syrian.

Korlinna is eighteen and Syrian twenty when their wedding occurs. Rhiasyn watches over Esme and Hava during the ceremony, leading the two young mrreow out before Korlinna as she walks down the isle.

Age 12 - 15
To increase Rhiasyn's value as a marriage prospect, zhe is given over to craft learning. Though it is often considered the best choice for a young lady of the blood to be given to the harpers to learn to sing, Rhiasyn is instead apprenticed to the weavers, to improve upon a natural skill for ladylike sewing, lace making and embroidery. Zhe quickly takes takes a distinctly un-ladylike interest in the art of tailoring, though Rhianna, born in a family which encouraged craft learning in all it's forms, encourages her child to follow that path, with the thought of zher making zher own clothing and being the one to set the fashion trends of the young blood instead of simply following along in other's wake.

Age 15 - 17
Rhia begins to assert zherself, telling zher family that she does not wish to be refered to as female. Zhe does not feel zherself to be a woman, nor does zhe feel zherself to be a man. Zhe has done much searching in zherself and zher surroundings and zhe does not identify with either of those things in the way society presents them to be.

Zher sister-in-law, Korlinna, is of particular help to Rhiasyn during this time, being openly accepting of zher wish to be referred to in a manner other than she/her or he/him. It is Korlinna who helps Rhiasyn settle on zhe/zher as zher preferred method of address.

Age 17 - 18
While out riding, Rhiasyn's small group is attacked by bandits. Though the guards take care of most of the attackers, a pair get through to Rhia. Rhia is pulled from the saddle. Esme leaps to the defense of her master, attacking the man who had grabbed Rhia. As that man struggles with the Mrreow, the other grabs for Rhiasyn. He does not expect Rhiasyn to know how to defend zherself, and though Rhia is wounded during the fighting, zhe is the one left standing at the end.

Esme survives the initial fighting, but she passes away from wounds taken in battle a few days later. The one surviving bandit is questioned, and it is learned that they were paid to kidnap Rhiasyn. The captured man is a simple holdless hireling and does not know who it was who hired his band of thugs to steal away the heir to Benden Hold.

Age 18 - 19
With several more attempts made upon Rhiasyn's person, it is decided that zhe shall be best to the weyr for a time. The dragons and the wher guards should be protection enough for zher during the time that zhe is there, allowing zher brother to focus his people on finding the person who wants so badly to kidnap zher and hold zher life against them.
