Delvina's Family

*These are Borrowable NPC's that might attend events or visit the Weyr to make a fuss*
*Though I may adopt them out if someone is really interested.*

Delvina's Father, Dentan, Holder of Bluestone Mining Hold

Age: Late 30's to 40's.

Build: Heavy, Miner's build.

Children: Delvina, Daughter 17 turns. Tanten, Son, 22 turns.

Craft: Master Miner with some talent as a gem cutter/jeweler.

Personality: Hard, Aggressive, Stubborn & Planning. He will start fights as well, but only when pushed.

Dentan, A lord of a Smallhold and skillful jeweler/miner, he is a hard man who understands the need to carefully plan out every aspect of hold life. Particularly when it comes to the expansion of the mines. One careless mistake could cost him a mine - and everyone inside it! His son is an obediant boy who, besides some luxuries with young merchant girls, works hard & plans to take over his father's hold one day. His daughter however, is a constant source of pain and anxiety. When their together they fight like cat's and dogs - mostly over the future direction of the Hold and his plans to cut all ties with the Weyr, losing the aid of dragons to transport goods as well access to gather's and events across Pern. Instead Dentan wishes to use the merchant holds to become self reliant. He had planned to marry Delvina off to a merchant hold's son.

Delvina vanished the morning a Midori dragon was seen in the skies close to the hold. They said the draogn vanished beneath the hold - then reappeared, only to vanish between. But only Dentan knows his daughter's belongings were also missing - she packed & planned the snatching herself! The week before riders from High Reaches Weyr had come - and he had told them his plan to cut ties with the Weyr. So he presumes they have his daughter. Though his messages about his daughter were returned with denials of any involvement - proclaiming no such girl was at the Weyr. What he does from there is open - He might suspect Sabishi, or he might believe their hiding his daughter to use against him later...

Dentan has beaten his children but usually inflicts other punishments. His views on women in Hold's are very old fashioned. Females shouldn't be miners and harpers, they should be healers, cooks & jewelers. His temper is fiery and his fists soon follow.

Delvina's Mother, Levinta, Lady Holder.

Age: late 30's to 40's.

Build: Open

Personality: Submissive/Non-challenging, Stern and Tackful.

Rank: Journeywoman Healer & Lady of the Hold.

A stern, chaotic woman whom tried to avoid the Small Hold's organisation and care as much as possible. She gladly defers these duties to several other woman as well her daughter, preferring to remain the Hold Healer, busying herself with the gathering, preparation and preserving of various plants and medicines. She enjoys time outside- often taking Delvina on her journeying about the mountainous region. Her room is always chaotic- unless Delvina has managed to find the time to sort and organize the mess.

Levinta was silent against her husband's harsh methods - accepting him as he is. But she tries to calm him, keeping the messes he creates as small as possible. She also won't let him start fights with dragon riders - out of fear of the dragon's themselves.

Delvina's Brother, Tanten,

Age: 22 turns.

Craft: Apprentice or Journeyman Miner.

Rank: Future Holder.

Build: Heavyset miner's physique.

Personality: Dutiful/Obedient, Open.

Sexuality: Straight or possibly Bi-sexual.

Tanen has his father's eye for minerals and expanding the mine. He is not as intelligent as his sister - but he has a natural ease to his nature. It can be quite charming when he's relaxed. Unfortunately, he is also rather hasty when it comes to relationships. Delvina's has often set her brother up with bright, elegant women to help his tastes. But Tanten's tastes tend toward energetic or hard working women. Which isn't a bad choice - but she always felt he could choose a little better for himself.
