Hair Color: Black
Height: 6'5"
Build: Lean and muscular
Overall Description: At 6'5" tall and weighing close to 200 lbs, T'hex has to bend down to get into most rooms. He's fit, due to constantly working alongside Syrlith. He has a rugged appearance about him, his hair is just long enough that it flops around, but isn't long enough to tie back. He has a constant five o'clock shadow that no often how much he trims it back, it'll be back by the evening. His brows are heavy, his nose a little crooked from being broken. His skin is naturally a slight tan hue, but he doesn't tan or burn.
As for as his figure goes, his younger time among the Hold as a "Rider's son" put him in a position to defend himself daily. Over time, his body developed the muscle needed to protect himself; his arms got bigger, shoulders broader, chest more defined, waist narrow, legs thick. If he was to strut naked through the Weyr, it'd be a show of muscle and tanned flesh, but there would also be scars, some from when he was a young Holdbrat fighting to protect himself from those that found out his father was a Rider, but more from learning with Syrlith as Weyrlings and as Riders.

Overall Description: T'hex is a loyal man, who puts himself out there to help all who need him. He's hard working and determined, which is both a good thing and a bad thing. Both he and Syrlith have been known to try and work through just about anything; an injury, illness, or healthy as a runner. However, when the day is done, the task is complete, he does enjoy a good drink with his fellow Weyrfolk or Riders, good music, fun, and laughter. Not an overly funny man, but he does have a nice smile and there are lines around the corners of his mouth and eyes that show he smiles and laughs often.
As a young man, he never thought he would have a family, but when Syrlith caught a first female and T'hex woke up beside her the next morning, he found the idea of having a family an enticing one. It wasn't until later he became lucky enough for his weyrmate to become pregnant, as in several Turns and several different Rises later. However, she didn't want to stay loyal to him and in the end, his son was born and given to a crechewoman at the Sabishi Weyr. Granted, the boy is still very close to him, but between Rider duties and just general stuff around the Weyr, he stays busy enough that he can't see him as often as he'd like.
He does not handle brash or rude people very well. If need be, he'll take those that step out of line and put them back in their place. When he speaks to others, it is with respect and honesty, and he expects the same thing to be done with him.
History
Mother: Thelema (61), drudge
Father: K'hex (59) of Gin Asukath
Crechemother:
Siblings: Rema (39) of Murasaki Kaleth and Rieahex (28)
Children: Orihex (8)
Mother of his son: Oria (27) of Sakura Emelth
Background: T'hex is the second born, his older sister is Rema and his younger brother is Rieahex. His mother, Thelema, is a drudge at High Reaches Hold and his father, K'hex of Gin Asukath, is a Wingrider at High Reaches Weyr. He barely knew his father, as the man had just been passing through the Hold on a Search raid when he had come upon Thelema. After a few visits between the two, they ended up in bed and in the morning, when Asukath informed him it was time to leave, Thelema found out that he was a Rider and told him she never wanted to see him again.
Nine months later, Thelema gave birth to a bouncing baby boy and called him Thelhex, at least giving some credit to K'hex in fathering her son. From a child, T'hex was taught to dislike the dragons at the Weyr and all Riders. His mother did her best to raise him by herself, but she ended up having to send him to a crechewoman. Her name was Indayn and she was the grandmother of a Rider at High Reaches Weyr. Her grandson came to visit often and with him, came the news of T'hex's father and the dragons. She was the one that informed him his father was a Rider and that he should be proud of the fact, not hang his head in shame or talk down about the Riders as his mother did.
During the time between him being raised by Indayn and first meeting his father, T'hex got into many fights with the other Holdbrats. Somehow, word had gotten around; Indayn believed that it was T'hex's own mother who began telling adults that her son was the product of a Rider raping her, and as an end result, T'hex often came home with cuts, bruises, and broken bones.
At fourteen Turns, T'hex's father showed up at High Reaches Hold. It was the first time he had ever seen the man, and his father's Gin. The first meeting with the Gin led to T'hex being told he would make a worthy Candidate. At first he was a little hesitant to go with his father, but eventually his crechemother spoke with him and he ended up going with K'hex.
A sevenday from when he went with K'hex to Sabishi Weyr, Thelhex became T'hex when a Kohaku hatched and announced himself to the Weyr as Syrlith. From the moment that Syrlith walked toward him, T'hex knew that he would have been a shell of a man had he not gone with his father that day.
Weyrling training wasn't hard, but T'hex and Syrlith. Seeing as he was only fourteen when he Impressed, he and Syrlith stayed with the Queen Wing a little longer than some of the older Weyrlings after they graduated. But once T'hex became old enough, Syrlith did his best to catch every lady that Rose. It seemed every time a female Rose, didn't matter who or what rank she was, Syrlith was right there after them. Sometimes he caught the female, sometimes he had to fly off one of the defeated. Of course, this meant that the normally loyal and honorable T'hex quickly became a well versed lover and pleaser of women. However, he made sure that none of the woman ever ended up pregnant, due to his young age he wasn't ready for children, but was hoping that Syrlith would eventually settle down to the idea of only chasing after one female and not them all. Though, no matter how careful T'hex was, there are just some things you can't win against, say a particular lower ranked female Rising and Syrlith putting himself out there completely to win her. The end result: T'hex woke up in Oria of Sakura Emelth bed the next morning.
At first, he hadn't known he was going to be a father. Oria had told him that she hadn't wanted children, but being that it had been Emelth's maiden Rise, and Oria, herself, had never been with a man before, she didn't even know if she could have children. So, they took it one step at a time. Oria hadn't wanted a relationship with T'hex, past friendship, and he respected that. But nine months after Emelth's Rise, Syrlith informed him that the Sakura had told him Oria had gone into labor and needed him. A few hours later, he held his first born son. He was twenty-nine, Oria was just nineteen. She wasn't ready for a baby, having only been Impressed to Emelth for a short time and still had a lot to learn in the Weyr. T'hex was constantly away from the Weyr or doing something that kept him to busy to settle down at that moment in time, so they gave Orihex to a crechewoman. It was a hard decision for T'hex, but he did his best to always see his son when he had any down time . . . The same couldn't be said about Oria.
Indayn passed away shortly after Orihex's birth. A few Turns after Orihex was born, T'hex became more active in trying to advance his ranking in the Wing, so his time with his son got shorter and shorter. However, he still tried to spend as much time with him as he could. He and Oria drifted apart. When Emelth Rose the next time, Syrlith gave chase, but T'hex could tell his heart wasn't in it. They were starting to get a little older and it seemed the Kohaku was finally starting to see that life wasn't all about Rising females and winning the Rises.
At Turn thirty, T'hex became Dark Flare's Wingsecond. Sylirth began chasing after females less frequently. When the Kohaku did give chase it was normally after a female that they had known for some time and was interested in settling down with.
When their aging Weyrwoman announced she was stepping down and young Haruka and her Midori were stepping up as Senior Weyrwoman, T'hex will admit he was a little skeptical. She always seemed a little . . . wild about going in first, when she needed to remember that she and her Nagith were the only clutching female at Sabishi Weyr until Nagith was caught and clutched. Of course, when Nagith did Rise, Syrlith joined the Rise, and he lasted quite awhile due to his massive size for a Kohaku, but in the end a better dragon won the young Queen. With Haruka and N'rim leading the Weyr, T'hex was hopeful that they would one day be able to return to the old glory days that he had read about in the scrolls of past Weyrs, but it will be a lot of work. Of course, when news came of Nagith's Clutching and eggs officially on the Sands, T'hex had joined in the celebration of the future of the dragonriders. It had been a glorious day and even though it wasn't Syrlith's eggs on the Sands, the Kohaku and he had clapped N'rim and Keasurath on the back and shoulder for a job well done.
