Yesterday a few people were talking about things like timezones and the parts of the world they lived in, and it made me curious. Where does everyone here live/what's it like?
So, you know, if you're comfortable talking about this stuff online, I'd like to know about your city/state/country of residence?
I'll start.
Like I said in the Cbox, I live in Kansas. More specifically, I live in Wichita (not Lawrence, sorry!) It's... kind of an odd city? At least, from what I understand. It's full of trees. And old castles. And (not yellow) brick roads. And art. Like, I live near the heart of the city, and there are streets that are lined with lots of little statues. And there's art incorporated in the architecture of, like, everything. There's also a ton of art galleries.
Wichita also has a lot of really good resturaunts of just about every sort imaginable (it's where Whitecastle and Pizza Hut got started). If I decided to go take a walk and grab a bite to eat, in addition to a ton of fast food resturaunts I'd have a choice of:
At least three Japanese resturaunts
One really, really good Mexican resturaunt
A sort of? French resturaunt
A LOT of good burger resturaunts
A pizza resturaunt that also sells gluten free
A barbecue resturaunt
Several Cafes
...Just about everything else you could possibly think of. And this is all just within walking distance of my house.
So yeah. That's where I live. I could say a LOT more about it, but I figured I'd keep it short.
