A Note on Personalities: The personality traits listed for each color are the traditional stereotypes for the color. It is entirely possible to have a dragon with a completely different personality than their stereotype, so for example, a calm Sakura, a possessive Kohaku, or a boisterious Kin.
-Midori-
22-27 feet
The Midori Whers are the highest rank of all the colors. They are also the largest by far, though some Aoi can rival smaller Midori. Midori come in any shade of green, even tinting towards yellow or teal at times. Midori are slow to trust and usually end up being rather quiet. Midoris Run 1-2 times a year, laying up to 25 eggs.
-Shiroi-
23-26 ft
Shiroi Whers are the second highest Wher, and second Queen color. Shiroi's are very similar to the Whites of old, with a few key differences. Size, obviously, but also the fact that they are definitely female, though a male Shiroi does show up rarely. Their hide is always a white base, but if you look closely, they have hints of all other colors in splotches all over. Shiroi are very regal, with tendancies to be arrogant or bossy to other Whers. Shiroi Run 2-3 times a turn and lay up to 20 eggs.
-Aoi-
21-24 feet
Aoi are the largest of the male Whers. These Whers come in any shade of blue, sometimes with tints of green or purple. Aoi are usually cheery and playful, though they do know when it is time to play or when it is time to be serious. They are usually the only ones able to catch Shiroi and Midori without much issue, though they do chase the smaller Whers too.
-Ichigo-
19-22 feet
Ichigo are the second biggest male under Aoi. They come in any shade of red. They are usually quite mischievous, although they only mean it in good fun, and are never malicious about their tricks. They can chase any female, including Queens, but usually only catch the smaller Shiroi.
-Gin-
18-21 feet
Gin are the largest non-queen females. Gin are a dainty lithe creature, coming in shades of nearly white to dark pewter. They tend to be motherly to all, creature and human alike. Gin Run 3-4 times a turn, clutching up to 15 eggs.
-Kohaku-
17-20 feet
Kohaku Whers sit just below Gins. Kohaku can be anywhere from pale peach to dark burnt orange, close to brown. They are tough and have a great fortitude, making them most often the workhorse of the weyr. They are strong and steady, and once they set their mind to a task, they go until it's finished. They will chase any color, regardless of size.
-Murasaki-
15-18 feet
Murasaki Whers are the middle rank females. They can be any shade of purple. Murasaki are like large lions. They are usually very brave and somewhat possessive. They won't back down from a challenge, as well as being known for taking unnecessary risks. They Run 3-4 times a turn, and clutch up to 12 eggs.
-Chairo
13-16 feet
Chairo Whers are about right in the middle of Whers in regards to size. They come in various shades of brown. They may occasionally mate with queen, though usually only a Queen on her Maiden Run, unless the rider is particularly attached to the Brown Handler. Other than that, they can attempt to chase any female.
-Sakura-
11-14 feet
Sakura are smaller females, ranging from near white to hot pink to dark pink. Sakura's are by and far the most random of all Whers, on an emotional level. They are very moody and can switch from being happy to being sad or angry without much provocation. Sakuras Run 4-5 times a turn, clutching up to 8 eggs.
-Kuroi-
9-12 feet
Kuroi are the second smallest males. Coloring can be dark grey to solid black. Kuroi Whers are extremely loving and affectionate. They are also happiest when doing some sort of work. Due to their size, they are usually only able to catch Low-rank females. Of all whers, Kuroi are the most likely to chase one wher, and remain loyal to that one wher for the rest of their days.
-Dou-
7-10 feet
Dou are an interesting Wher. As the only male with a metallic tone to their hide, they see this as making them prettiest of all the Whers. Color wise, they are metallic bronze in tone of various shades. They are a VERY social wher, loving to talk to anyone who will listen. They tend to over exaggerate, especially when telling tales of their exploits. They are boasting types who like to make it seem that they are better than they actually are. Despite being the smallest male, Dou can come across as quite arrogant, aspiring to greater ranks than they really should.
-Kin-
5-8 feet
Kin are the smallest of all Wherkind, though it is rumored that before the Upheaval, Kin were the complete opposite. Kin come in shades of gold to yellow, and are one of the whers that has a natural metallic tint to their hide. Unlike the Dou however, they don't intentionally bring attention to themselves because of it. While they are quiet, they have a great intelligence, possibly the most intelligent of all the Whers. Some come across as meek and humble, but that is simply because Kin usually remain quiet unless asked a direct question, not wanting to upset someone by possibly interrupting them. They Run 4-5 times a turn, laying a clutch of up to 4 eggs.
