A young man has set up a normal looking booth, but in front of him are a large collection of eggs. When people come up to examine them, he states that they are Firelizard eggs that he found not too long ago. And for a small price, one can be yours!
:Eggs: Total = 28 Eggs Two Clutches
Extra Large -(Queen Firelizards) 1 - Emori 2 - Praxidera
He says," 15 Marks for Small, 30 Marks for Medium, 50 Marks for Large, 100 Marks for extra Large, folks, so step right up and you can have one of your own!"
These eggs cost real Marks! Practically anyone should have enough to buy the egg they desire though, so it won't be an issue. Eggs are First come, First Served, though remember, if the character already has a Queen 'lizard, they are not allowed to own a second one. Eggs will hatch after the Gather.

.: Emori :. One could be forgiven for being a touch surprised at seeing the Weyr's Headman wandering through the gather. Given his dedication to the responsibilities of his position, you would think he would be inside, supervising the baking of things which would be served at the feast tonight, or stalking through the outdoor cooking area, or perhaps even taking part in his craft for once and actually cooking. But this was not the case today. Today he was taking a day off, trusting in his people to keep things running smoothly.
Emori had been skeptical when he had seen the stall which claimed to be selling firelizard eggs. The man behind the counter wouldn't have been the first to sell wherry eggs under the guise of having found some of the once legendary creatures. One the other hand however, Emori had passed up his chance at getting a firelizard when Tiona had brought in that first clutch, allowing the eager crowd their chance, thinking he could always get one in a turn or so when one of the females made a flight. Now though he had a chance to get a firelizard without a turns wait and, given the eggs did indeed appear to be firelizard eggs, he was going to jump at the chance.
He took his time picking out just the right egg. He had hesitated over getting one of the largest eggs, the ones most likely to contain an Aoi, or perhaps even a queen. In the end, he decided to go with his gut and picked out one of the largest eggs. He had the marks for it and it was high time he was a little selfish about his own happiness.
------------------------ .: Rain :. Rain hadn't really been bothered by being left standing at the last hatching. It had honestly taken her longer to come to terms with the violence which had happened on the sands than it had to the fact that she had not been among the chosen. She didn't really mind to be honest. The missing faces in the candidate group had bothered her for a bit, but she'd gotten used to that as well. New people would arrive soon enough to fill in the gaps. And Feravosk's clutch should be getting close to hatching, which was something she was definitely looking forward to.
She hadn't gotten a chance at the firelizard eggs which had been found by the one sakura rider, so when she heard people whispering around the gather that there was someone claiming to have a clutch of firelizard eggs for sale, she decided to check it out. She had dipped into her store of marks, just in case they really were flit eggs.
Though Rain had been uncertain at first if these would actually be firelizard eggs,, or just someone capitalizing on the rumors which had flown far and wide since that first clutch had been found. However, she spotted the Headman buying one of them, and took that as a sign that these were firelizard eggs.
With a bright grin, she waltzed right up to the stall and started looking over the eggs. She wanted to pick out just the right ones.
------------------------ OOC: Post shall be made later when I'm no-longer frustrated by having lost posts.
Emori - Queen egg 1 Rain - Large egg 2, Small egg 4 Zurianna - Small egg 6 Korra - Small egg 5 Ashelan - Medium Egg 4, Large egg 8 Tarion - Small egg 3

|♦|Praxidera and [smear:B0973A]Dou Eriseth[/smear:D8B949]|♦|
OOC: Queen Egg 2
Praxidera was coming to enjoy the certain advantages offered by being in the weyr, or rather Eriseth was working at molding her enjoyment of them. The gather dress she had chosen was one such delightful commodity, Eriseth was more interested that she looked good in purple than matching him. It was all about appearances and expectations with the ambitious young dragon. She aspired to be as insightful as he was in the future even if his persistence was somewhat trying at times. Obviously, he was extremely persuasive as he'd gotten her to go to the Gather in the first place. As a hatchling he was required to remain at the weyr so there were no qualms in letting her go as she would by the very nature of their bond desire to return. Prax didn't expect to stay long at the gather in that respect, but she had desperately wanted to be outside the weyr and take the lay of the land, check out the gossip, and maybe try to ingratiate herself with someone willing to give up little tidbits of information.
She'd heard the call of the salesman, but she didn't pay him any heed at first. She was already exhausting herself taking care of a dragonet she didn't need something else to feed and care for.
[smear:B0973A]No wait! This is a perfect opportunity. Get a big one a Kin would be nice, but the big one can be a sign of regal demeanor. You must.[/smear:D8B949]
Prax hesitated, watching as others came and went some looking some purchasing. The big one? She counted her marks, but what else was she going to spend them on anyway? It was with great reluctance, but with trust in her dragon that she approached the vendor, eyeing the eggs very carefully.
"I would like to purchase this one," she said, pointing to the remaining Queen egg choosing to be daring though large ones seemed much more reasonably priced. None but the best for Eriseth, perhaps he didn't want to admit jealousy at the idea of her taking care of a miniature version of another male dragon. The thought made her smirk a little.
It was unlikely, he just wanted the best for them. The very, very best. She would do well to follow his lead. The more he grew the more canny he became, and Praxidera was going to require every ounce for the both of them if they desired to make the most of this mess.

.:.Jenesys of Murasaki-Kin Purloith.:.
Jenesys sighed softly as she walked through the Gather...it had been turns since she'd attended...after all after becoming an apprentice she didn't have time to socialize. Reaching up she stroked Ophelia under the chin, the affectionate Chairo crooning sweetly at the attention. She was trying to become more social but that was easier said then done...Ophelia had helped though and it was as she walked passed a booth that her heart went out to the large clutch on display. There were already a few people around it and so she stepped forward to examine what was being offered. Reaching out she gently caressed one of the eggs before looking to Ophelia.
Whispering to Ophelia. "You helped a great deal and keeping me sane until Purloith came to me...maybe adding another to the family would also help..." Until I'm fully healed... she thought.
It takes time to heal, my love...but I won't stop you from gathering more imps to cater to me, Purloith teased gently.
Jenesys smiled before gently reaching forward and placing the marks into the young man's hand before procuring the eggs she had her eyes on, one of the larger eggs and the smallest egg of the batch.
Jenesys: Large 1, Small 7
.:.Or`on of Chairo Feliath.:.
While Feliath continued his wake up, wash, oil, eat, and sleep phases Or`on decided it may not be a bad idea to get out and about. Of course when at a Gather there was always something to see or buy. granted, his eyes had been following the slender form of the very androgynous young creature from the hatching but he soon found his attention on something else. Eggs.
Stepping closer he was more then ready to add to his own collection of Bondeds. He could feel Feliath grumbling in the back of his mind for being called some kind of collectible but his mind was already considering what he could do with the flits...Jenesys had one that seemed to want to do anything for them, so they had to be pretty useful. Reaching into his pocket he fished out the marks required before handing them over. "I'll take these two...please..." he said as an after thought before taking up the two he desired.

.|. Iryasa of Shiroi-Murasaki Essamoryth .|.
Iryasa moved through the crowd with ease. Whether it was the fact that people knew who she was, or just got a feeling off of her, they moved over just a little to the side. Of course, the Junior Weyrwoman wasn't unapproachable. Her son walked ahead of her, her oldest daughter walking beside her, and her youngest daughter sitting on her hip in her arms. It was a task to keep all three in line, but even though Iryasa didn't spend all her time with the children, they knew that mother was not to be disobeyed.
Something had drawn Tariasa's attention and he had wondered to far away. "Tari," Iryasa warned, even as her son wiggled between two men and up to the booth. His sister, Iryril, wasn't far behind. Luckily, a kind man moved over just enough to where she could move forward enough to keep an eye on both her excited children. It seemed a young man had a large amount of flit eggs and was pawning them off to whoever could pay for them. Honestly, Iryasa wasn't interested. Essamoryth wasn't interested. But Tariasa, Iryril, and little Kiliasa were interested. "Momma! Momma! Can we have one!?" her son asked, looking back at her with these big round eyes that as a young mother, she hadn't been able to resist. Iryril followed suit and both were clasping their hands together and silently begging for a firelizard. "You both are too young for the responsibility of having such a pet," she stated, earning pouty lips and teary eyes for her words. "How about this, I'll make a deal with you. I will buy two eggs and they will be my pets. BUT! You two will care for the flits and train them. Once you have shown me you can care for them properly, I will buy you your own pets, or you may try to bond with them at a clutch. Understood?"
Of course, both older children bounced up and down at the idea, while little Kiliasa really didn't care or understand what was going on. She just knew that she was with her mommy and she was happy. With both Tari's and Iry's word, Iryasa's bought two eggs, letting the children pick out the sizes. Tari wanted a big one and Iryril chose a pretty medium sized egg. After paying for the two eggs, and slipping them into a bag hanging from her shoulder, Iryasa hustled her children to the side of the booth so that others could purchase their eggs.
.|. T'hex of Kohaku Syrlith .|.
The hum of excitement had T'hex fired up. The Hatching was done and over with. The Weyrlings were doing well. The Weyr was about to celebrate the Gathering and the beginning of a new time at Sabishi Weyr. The normally hard working Wingsecond suddenly found himself in the mood to venture into the shops and see if there was anything that might interest him.
Of course, the place was pretty crowded, even though the Gathering wasn't for a few more days still. T'hex had to shoulder his way through the crowd and even still, he stepped on others and was stepped on. Finally, after his shin was kicked for the sixth time, T'hex took a breather between two booths. Both were still pretty busy and he was still having to watch his toes, but he wasn't being jostled around and wasn't having to jostle.
When the Kohakurider finally glanced over at the booth next to him, he found that it was a selling firelizard eggs. The recent clutch that had been at Sabishi Weyr had hatched while he as away on Search and so he had missed the excitement. As soon as he saw that there were more eggs, he let Syrlith know and though the Kohaku didn't sound that interested in having little firelizards flying around his weyr, T'hex purchased a medium egg.
.|. Nyriayr .|.
The Weyr was alive with the news of the Gathering. It was the perfect time for Nyriayr to return to the Weyr and sell his wares. Luckily, he had missed the Hatching, though he had sent his congratulations to the new Weyrlings in the form of new fur blankets for their barracks. Once he had Epolo and Oisa squared away in the stables, and his furs sold almost before the packs were unloaded from his stud runner, Nyriayr found himself with time to kill and coin to burn.
Walking through the little shops that were popping up to sell their wares before and during the Gathering, Nyriayr was suddenly glad his furs were in such high demand, even though he hadn't done much to them other than tan one side and leave the fur intact. Either way, with his items gone, he didn't have to worry about setting up a shop or anything.
A rare grin graced his face as he noticed one booth was getting a lot of attention. Curious about what was suddenly so popular, he moved toward the booth and found something that he hadn't ever thought he'd see in his lifetime. Firelizard eggs. The young man had a rather large collection of them and they were flying off the shelves like hot cakes. Without even really thinking about once the eggs hatched, or the possibility of one of them hatching a gin, Nyriayr called for the last two small ones and paid his dues before attaining the eggs.

Jenesys gently cradled the eggs she'd purchased and would have made her way from the booth but noticed a familiar face. Stepping around a few people, Ophelia clinging to her shoulder, face buried in her hair she approached the first rider who'd attempted to speak with her her first few days in the Weyr.
"Hello again T`hex," she smiled up at the Kohakurider. The rider was much larger than her and in the past she would have skirted away from him, as she had at the Corral so long ago. However, thanks to both Ophelia and Purloith, she was a bit more confident in her actions and approaching those she'd want to make friends with.
