She had been lounging in the weyrling's common area for a while, walking around it checking it's accouterments and poking into each nook and cranny until she was satisfied she knew the contents of the room. Eriseth had been bathed and oiled then well fed. Prax had touched up a few spots after careful to clean his maw of anything not befitting of his shinny, brassy bronze hide. He was sleeping now, but when he had been awake they had spoken of plans and tactics and desires. If she wanted to catch her fellow weyrlings to her cause she was going to need to be sweet to do it, and she was most capable of that. Now that they were all barred from certain activities that made things more challenging. Though she did desire to know her weyrling comrades intimately in others ways. Especially, concerning the state of affairs within the weyr. Prax couldn't thank Delvina enough for igniting so many little trains of thought and possibility. There was one thing she definitely wanted to do which was try to spy on High Reaches at some point, see what they were doing or if they were doing things differently. The other thing she wanted to do was assure no more people were going to get kidnapped against their will. Prax thought longingly and tenderly of the sleeping mind to which she was attached, but that didn't excuse what had occurred to her person.
There was also thread. Who believed in it? Who didn't? Where was the proof of it all? After all if thread was definitively returning two weyrs weren't enough, and if they intended to occupy the empty weyrs Prax would go and scout it out, first chance. If Eriseth had been born ready to jump into the air and whisk her away they would have gone exploring. Who would stop them? No one, assuming no one caught up with them.
Praxidera, having found a somewhat battered but complete set of dragon chess, began setting up the pieces though not paying close attention to it as she became lost in thought. There were a great many things to wonder and consider and it burned her to have to sit on her hands and wait until Eriseth grew. Though she knew if he had the chance he would have grown up tomorrow to do the same. Wouldn't that be a pretty picture though? A Dou Weyrleader by right of exploration and discovery. She smiled. Prax was sure to some it was blasphemous, but for herself and Eriseth there was never such a thing as aiming too high.
