Overall Description: Rekal stands at the full height of six foot six inches tall, he is lithe of build and sturdy. He's not particularly bulky he's thin and lithe very much like his father who was a thin but muscular man, he also shares the amount of scars his father had on his body. He enjoys the pain that receiving the scars gives him, he is very odd when compared with his gentler siblings this young man dresses in darker colors. Rekal prefers dark browns and blacks when wears anything other than his riding leathers and his gather clothes which are simple and effectively colored. He isn't flamboyant and he hates wearing bright colors they give his appearance an odd look.

His eyes are his mother's the same shade of hazel as her were, he enjoys this factor he knows that his eyes are this way. He also has an evenly spaced distance on his face, Rekal's face is also very sharp featured like his father's. Though he does have his mother's smooth skin and he never really broke out during puberty and he has always been proud of his skin even if it is covered in scars. Most of his scars are on his chest, legs and arms he has left his face alone, his scars are actually tattoos of a sort. He has done them in intricate designs to make them appealing rather than disgusting, being a Healer he knows how to do this in order to avoid infection.

Long Black hair cascades down his shoulders, he rarely puts it up unless he's doing surgery. This man enjoys very much his appearance, he keeps his hair well tended and takes great pride in his hair and it's appearance. He doesn't often let anything get in it, this young man loves being able to get smiles due to his appearance. Rekal is very sure of his own appearance and wants more than anything to be thought of as handsome and tries to wear complimentary colors.

Overall Description: Rekal is a calm fellow, he doesn't often get riled or even let his emotions really show because he must remain calm and determined not to let his emotions get ruffled after all a Healer must be calm and able to handle stressful situations. After all he needs to remain calm at all times and not get overly excited due to his training after all his whole life he was prepared by his uncle to be a Healer. He has always been the calmest of the triplets and the least likely to get angry.

This young man knows what he wants and with the determination that is highly admirable in a society like Pern and he is sure that he will get it. He resolved when he walked the tables that he would gain mastery before the age of forty. Rekal was going to be the best that he possibly could after all he was going to be a Master Healer specializing in Surgery like his father. Without him the triplets would not have been born at all. When he sets his mind to a task he is sure to get it because he has always been this way.

When Rekal doesn't know something he desperately wants to know he will fight for it with all his being and do his best to find it out. After all a Healer must always be willing to learn new things and work towards new knowledge. As a surgeon he is trying to learn new techniques and how best to be a good healer, he wants to learn all that he can about the medical community. Rekal will become a Master and a Surgeon because he wants to help people and wants to understand everything about the human body.

One thing that is excellent in any healer is the ability to remain calm under pressure, he is excellent at this and it is the best skill that he has. This man is not one that will snap or yell during a tense situation he will talk only very calm and assured about what he's doing. This man is the type to calmly figure something out rather than let anything get under his skin, he won't let anyone get under his skin or let a surgery or a tense situation upset him.

Once this man has a goal set he will stand by it, this man will not stop working towards a goal no matter what. At the moment his goal is work long and hard enough to gain his mastery, this man knows that he will gain it. Rekal doesn't give up easily and will never surrender a goal once he has begun down the path just as he chose to be a Healer at a young age he will be a master. Rekal knows that this has caused some problems with so called friends because he can be a little abrasive towards those who get in the way.

Rekal has a fascination with pain, his own or others he loves seeing how long someone or something lasts while under pain. This some say came from his father who had the same deviation, it was somehow genetic. Rekal loves creating and causing pain in himself especially for his scar tattoos. He enjoys causing the pain in himself and it is fun to see the way the blood runs. Though he only does this in private away from others because his brother and sister tried to 'help' him once.

This young man has a morbid sense of humor, he laughs at death and he doesn't fear anything. He isn't afraid of death and he looks on those who are with a slight disdain. Rekal also laughs at blood and light injuries because they are amusing to him, though he does try to not do this in public as he is a Healer. He has a front to put on about being a Healer he shouldn't laugh at others pain but in private with those he trusts he does.

For all of Rekal's less than admirable traits he has excellent bedside manner. He is a good man when he needs to be a healer and he does his best to be there for those who need him. Rekal is a Healer and he will make sure that everyone see him for what he is and not what he can be. This man will always make sure that he is there for those who need his healing.

Background:
R'kal was born to a twenty turn old Kinrider who died in the birth, his father vanished before anyone even knew who he was exactly. He was sent off to the healer hall to his uncle Renikal who raised the triplets, R'kal was the first born of the three but that didn't mean anything while growing up. The three of them became inseperable every time they tried the others would throw fits, it wasn't till they were at least seven turns that they had their own rooms. They also started training as healers as early as possible they all showed interest in it given all they could do as healers, besides it was job security.

At seventeen R'kal and his siblings became Journeyman and R'kal chose to specialize in Surgery, he wanted to be able to figure out what was wrong on the inside of people. He went on to become very good surgeon as did his siblings, they were all Searched by the weyr they'd been born at when they were twenty. Rackeal impressed to Chairo Coliadath and became Ra'kel, Jeanal impressed to Gin Kelkith become J'nal and Rekal finally impressed to Kohaku Trinath and took up the name R'kal. The trio went through weyrlinghood

As soon as they graduated Trinath started Chasing, he was quite determined to win all of the flights he could. That meant that R'kal got his first daughter at twenty two turns of age, that didn't bother him what did is that T'ra didn't tell him till almost a turn after. He missed all of those firsts with his daughter, he tried his best after that. But a mere two turns later another one was born, which meant he had to do more time with her, he then had another daughter with T'ra due to a Flight. He did his best to dote on his children and do his craft and be a dragonrider, it wasn't always easy especially with Trinath Chasing every female he could. But three turns ago R'kal slept with a Drudge he'd done so once before with and had his last child. That one is very special because R'kal had begun to have feelings for Sela, she died in birthing the babe.

Shortly after Sela's death he was given his Master knots, he knows he's not the expert in his field but he is a Mastercrafter and that does bring some pride. His daughters can look up to him now that he's gotten it as well as he can know they'll be cared for especially by him and his siblings.
