Overall Description: Seryn is a little like her brothers in the sense that she's a little on the short side. Only standing 5 foot 6 inches, she stands out quiet a bit due to her hair, while is long, down to her mid back, and blonde. She will often braid it in odd ways, or if she's not in the mood to deal with it, she tends to just leave it all down, or pulled into a long runner's tail. She isn't overly muscular, but she can hold her own against others.

She tends to be dressed in layers; breeches, a tunic that has tails, and a simple vest. Her tunics tend to be dyed different shades of blue, while she enjoys darker browns or blacks for her breeches and vests. Her eyes are deep green.

Overall Description: Driven, loyal, and hard working, Seryn loves deeply, but tries not to show it. She will break her back to help others. Not the best type of leader, she tries her hardest not to let her emotions rule her, but there are times when she just can't help herself. Her father wanted her to a be a lady, her mother wanted her to follow her heart. It was no surprise when Seryn disappointed one and made another smile with happiness.

Sexually, she enjoys the softer touches and gracefulness of a beautiful woman. She loyal; however, so she doesn't just go around breaking hearts and leaving women crying. Possessive and deadly, she tends to keep her lovers close, though they know from the beginning what it might be like with her. Honest to a fault, she only hides what she needs to to protect herself from being hurt.

Children:
Background: Seryn was born to Serarda and Nydryn, Miners from Crom Hold. The couple had several children; 6 boys and 1 girl. All her brothers were her constant protectors, as Seryn as the youngest of 7. Her parents had an arranged marriage set up by their parents from a young age and when Serarda was 15 and Nydryn 18 they were married. Nydryn was already a Journeyman Miner, Serarda was just finishing up her apprenticeship and getting ready to walk the tables. However, a months after they were married, Serarda found out she was pregnant and thus began their happy family.

Serarda never became a Journneywoman Miner, she ended up just staying an Apprentice and was happy at that level, considering how many children Nydryn wanted; he wanted 10 but Serarda talked him down to 7. By the time they had six sons, Nydryn told his wife they would try once more to have a girl, and then he was done. His dream of having 10 children had died when he realized there was a very big chance they would all be boys. So Seryn was born and she ended the string of children that would follow her mother around the house and pounce on their father when he came home, smelling of stone and earth and covered in dust. Seran was the oldest and first born. Nydra and Nydarda were the twins and born just a few seconds apart. Sydryn was the one that they hadn't been planning on. Matada was named in honor of Serarda's father. Nalryn was named in honor of Nydryn's father. And of course, Seryn.

She never wanted for anything as a child. Her brothers were her constant protectors, each one more protective than the one before him. Her parents were loving and even though their father worked hard, and was tired and sore at the end of each day, he would always come home and give her a ride on his back before hugging each son and kissing his wife.

Seran followed in his mother and father's footsteps become a Miner Apprentice at the tender age of 9. Nydra and Nydarda both started training to become Farmers. Much to the family's dismay, Nydra was kidnapped by a Rider and taken to High Reaches Weyr. For the longest time, Seryn didn't know what happened to her brother. After Ndrya was taken, Sydryn began training to become a guard to help defend their little Hold. Matada disappeared from Crom Hold and traveled to the few remaining Holds selling small crafts here and there. Nalryn had begun training to become a Miner but he was taken shortly after he started. The remaining brothers did everything to protect their little sister, but it wasn't Seryn's style to stay hidden behind her brother's shields or pick axes.

Shortly after Nydra was taken and Sydryn began training to become a guard, he also began training Seryn to defend herself, in case she was ever taken by Riders, or someone got drunk in the Hold and forgot that Seryn had several big brothers that would defend her honor. She became really good at hand to hand combat and learned to take care of herself.

Around seventeen Turns, Seryn met a beautiful young woman, Essksual, who was arranged to be married to a young man in the Hold. They started off as friends, but Seryn was interested in her more than a friend, but understood there was no chance she could provide a better life for her than this man could. So she chose to just be her friend. However, when Essksual came to Seryn's bedroom window one night with a split lip and a black eye just shortly before her marriage, Seryn changed her mind. The next day, she stood up to Essksual's intended and informed him that he would not be marrying her, that she, Seryn, would be marrying Essksual. When he went to hit her, it's hard to hit a woman from your back, as all her brothers came to her aid. Calming all the males down, Seryn stood over Essksual's intended she spoke simply to him. She let him know that the next time he even thinks about laying a hand on a woman in ill fashion, remember that each woman in the Hold knows that she and her brothers will stand up for them. That he wouldn't be safe if he struck another woman. It was then that Sydryn spoke up and informed him that he would be letting their commanding officer know about this incident, as they were both in training to become guards, and their commanding officer would take it out on him in training.

It was after this incident, Seryn was walking home one night from a lesson with the Master that was training her that she saw Nydra again. He was standing by a wall, half hidden in the shadows, but one never forgets their brother. She ran to him, but stopped dead in her tracks as the head of a dragon came around the corner and one swirling orb regarded her with what she hoped wasn't hunger. She tried to scream and run, but Nydra grabbed her and pulled her into the shadows. He tried to explain but Seryn wasn't having any of it. Stamping down hard on his foot while putting an elbow in his ribs, she was free but the dragon stopped her from getting any further. After she calmed down, Nydra informed her that he had been kidnapped taken to High Reaches Weyr and was forced to Stand and Impressed Kuroi Xalanth. By the end of their talk, she understood that he had learned a bit more about the Riders and learned that they weren't all bad and most only kidnapped because the eggs needed Candidates to survive. It was then that he informed her that he would be taking her back to High Reaches Weyr. Before she even had a chance to protest, he threw her over his shoulder and mounted Xalanth and they were airborn.

Seryn never saw Essksual again. She tried to escape a few times from High Reaches Weyr, but was always either brought back if she got away or wasn't able to escape. She was able to help a few other Candidates escape and in the end High Reaches passed her off to Sabishi Weyr, as they were tired of loosing Candidates because of her and she wasn't Impressing.

At twenty Turns, Seryn started to come to terms with that fact that fate said she was not returning to her home Hold to see her family or her love. There has been word, through Nyd'a, that their youngest brother, Nalryn, had been brought to High Reaches and had Impressed an Aoi dragon just shortly after arriving. Now, after almost 4 Turns of Standing and being held captive at the Weyrs, Seryn is finally able to walk a bit around the Weyr, though she is still watched in case she makes a run for it. However, she is finding out that she's actually quite excited about the new eggs on the Sand, so maybe she's beginning to see the Riders in the same light as her brothers? Or maybe she's plotting something that will happen close to the eggs hatching?

Her ideas of escape were put on hold. A promise to a wherhandler at Sabishi Weyr and the Touching of the eggs before they hatached had Seryn singing a different tune. She found something on the Sands that made her want to stay and learn about what she had been fighting for so long. Once the eggs began to Hatch, the thought of escaping was completely gone. She knew she would Stand til she was no longer able to Stand in order to wait for her dragon. But as Fate would seem, she didn't have to wait long, at least just until the end of the Hatching, when after being injured slightly and fixed up by a Healer, a Ichigo-Kuroi dragon walked into the Triage tent. Seryn mine! I almost thought you weren't here. I'm glad Carseth came over, or I might have missed you. I am Biorth. You won't leave now, right?

The bond between Seryn and Biorth was born and even though the Chimera seems to challenge her at every turn, it's always in a good way.
