The drudge had long returned with two buckets of meat one that Purloith had finished consuming and now lay beside his bed while he rested. The second bucket had been placed next to where Seryn was seated. Both the blood loss and the excitement of having the beautiful hatchling at his side had worn him out and Jenesys was drifting in and out of sleep when he heard a happy trill coming from the opening of the Triage. The were a few hatchlings peeking in but one in particular that approached Seryn.

Smiling he shifted a bit, hissing softly in pain which caused Purloith to perk up and watch him critically. Jenesys's eyes watched Seryn quietly and smiled softly. "I knew they would find you," he said softly, pride swelling in his chest as he watched her hug the young chimera close. By the coloring he assumed it...he was an Ichigo-Kuroi.

Jenesys, stop talking a rest. Biorth will care for her as I will care for you, dear heart, the Murasaki-Kin crooned softy as she got up on her hind legs to gently roll Jenesys on his back once more. Though he allowed Purloith to move him his eyes never left Seryn, pleased both of his friends Seryn and Khetzar had found their Bondeds.

The soft hide nose nuzzling into her hand was surprising for a moment, but whether it was reflexive to pet the hide because of how invitingly smooth it was or because the impression of Eriseth to her took hold it was hard to say. She swallowed hard as the words filled her head, eyes misting unexpectedly as the bond solidified in an instant. She cared nothing for any of the other dragons anymore whether already hatched or just hatched, Eriseth was her world and she could tell his word was his bond. His mind was already teaming with ideas, and though she could recognize that in part as unsettling it was also warm and welcoming. Prax felt the most relaxed and uplifted she had ever felt even from when she remembered what stability was like. After all, she would never be alone in the cold again, if she was kicked when she was down she would never lack for a confidant, they could soar over wintry landscapes together soon enough, and Eriseth understood everything instantly. Prax didn't have to explain herself or her struggles, Eriseth knew everything and she knew all of the things Eriseth wanted. This bond was precious and nothing would ever be more important. 

I have no doubt we will fly ahead of the others, no pun intended.

Prax smiled, a genuine smile the first one she'd experienced in a long time.

Of course, it does not do to think on an empty stomach, but I think we have a lot to learn before we can effect change.

Praxidera led Eriseth off the main of the sands where there were buckets of food waiting on the edge of the action. He looked back at his Midori sibling for a moment.

I had hopes for Delvina on that front, but we'll see what happens in a moment or so.

The new weyrling was wary of letting Eriseth gorge himself, but his tendency for neatness made him go more slowly than the blinding initial hunger of other dragonets. He intended to look his best and most smart at all times starting now, and that included chewing his food carefully so as not to spoil his bright, bronzey metallic hide. Prax cut some chunks into smaller pieces at his urging to better facilitate that desire, finding no disgust at the activity. She'd been exposed to a lot worse than a little raw herdbeast meat. There were plenty of buckets of clean water to both slake the thirst of the dragons and to clean hands in. The drudges shuffling out with empty buckets and in with new supplies, no doubt all well trained to manage the situation.

In truth, Prax wished for a little time to process it all. Things had changed so suddenly, and there were so many possibilities taking flight in her mind. Now that she was a dragonrider she would have to be counted as a person of consequence especially if the weyr was of the mind that they needed every dragon they could muster. They couldn't afford to ignore her or Eriseth as even firestone chewing dragons had the potential for clutches such Eriseth could be looked to as a possible sire. He certainly believed that once the time came he could match any other dragon if not through outright brute strength than through speed and cunning. It all spun through her mind, their mind really. Eriseth had politely withdrawn, concentrating on his first meal as she tried to slow her thoughts. There was all of the time in the world and yet no time at all. She would have to consult Delvina. She wondered if they were preparing to bite off more than they could chew, but Prax didn't think they were aspiring to more than they deserved. After all, a bigger dragon and tradition didn't make anyone better it just meant power had to be collected in a different manner, and that was something they were more than capable of.

The time will be now for some things, that count you are right on.

Praxidera would wait to see how the final moments of the hatching played out and then she would make her move. She felt oddly powerful and perhaps it was part of the euphoria of impression still coursing through her, but Eriseth was a piece that had fallen beautifully into place and now that she understood her new placement in this strange world it was time to start making good on the things she had promised herself. That Eriseth was completely her ally was a treasured boon.
